A Quixotic Journey in Spain
Not much time to blog right now, sad to say. In the meantime, I urge you to
join Sal DeTraglia on his never-ending quest to find a BBQ smoker in Spain.
(See sidebar link.) Since Weber didn't come through, he's taken matters
into his own hands and constructed a smoker out of... terra cotta flower
pots? Is he tilting at windmills in Castilla-LaMancha? Time will tell...
Keep up the good fight, Sal!

In a certain village in LaMancha, which I do not wish to name, there lived not long ago a gentleman--one of those who have always 4 lbs. brisket in the fridge, an ancient electric hotplate in the closet, two enormous terra cotta flower pots in the garage, and a heavy-duty pie-tin full of wood chips. His habitual diet consisted of a stew, more beef than mutton, of hash most nights, boiled bones on Saturdays, lentils on Fridays, and a young pigeon as a Sunday treat.
But not this Sunday, Sancho! This Sunday, LaMancha will be SMMMMMOKIN'!!!
